LoS Explanation

I want to tell everyone reading this series, The Legend of Sovereign, that there will be long pauses because I have a ton of things to do and that doing this writing like its an Episode long will take a lot of work out of me. It is possible I might do audio voice overs of it, if I don't sound odd, but each episode will take time before it can be fully done. I intend for this to be looked at like an Anime-show so please show a beginner at it a little respect. If nothing else at least applaud me for my efforts in coming up with this series. Thank you.

Legend of Sovereign: The Prologue

Even as we grow, the myths of legend remain fascinating, especially to our children. The favorite has always been that of our birth.

A long time ago, the 4 Gods created our world. They created the land and sea. Animals flourished in their habitats and lived happily. Unfortunately, our world was dull to the Gods. Agreeing that each god make their own, our four races were created. The race created by the God Kazalin were the Humans. We were made to be a strong and capable race, with some of us having the fortune of discovering alchemic powers and knowledge. This alchemy allowed for us to create with what we saw fit to use. Of course this was only limited to the resources we had at our disposal. Another God by the name of Savirok created the Elves. They were given magic, a power that allowed them to do almost whatever they wanted with whatever element the elf had received. They ween't limited to resources, because their power came from thin air. The third race, known as Beastials, were crafted by God Fer. They were considered abominations in  our early days but we soon decided to accept them. These Beastials took man-like statures but looked like any creature that could survive on land.. Its rumored there still exists a tribe of water Beastials, but its nothing but a fairy tale. Now the God Xerx was rather demented, and wanted a world to control, all of his own. How he planned it, he needed to create his own race, but have them looked upon as dark and demented. They are respectfully called Demons. These Demons were given abilities of what seemed to be a curse to those it affected and their Demonic nature almost seemed reminiscent of the fabled Hell we are lead to believe still holds evil beings that have died. These races soon began to bicker and fight, harming others with their abilities. Without even a single word, these races separated, taking up their own territories. They claimed large land masses, for the world is a massive place. The land named Legaal was created by the elves. It was a strong society that lived both on the ground and in the trees that surrounded them. The land named Nyst was claimed by the Beastials. It had tight communities with stone houses ad a strong military that was established rather quickly. Gieel was named by the Human population and took up stone and woodcrafting. Their society become a rather peaceful one, and their plans of the future replicated with the Elves' own plan. Where the Demons ran off to was the land of Ilsa. It had a nice forested area, until factions within the race fought for power,  turning it into a land of darkness, turning the trees black as ash and the ground became charred. Their communities were crafted with their own demonic powers, abusing it to fulfill their building desires. Fortunately by doing this, they became unable to reach as a magical barrier then surrounded these creatures. Only a few Demons had the ability to roam out of their territory, but it soon turned out that not many wanted to leave and explore the world. As the years past and the communities began to thrive and learn, the Humans and Elves wrote up a document requesting the assistance of Beastials and Demons to build a city. This city was intended to be a safeguard for all races to convene and talk. It even had plans for a 5 member council that would lead the city and any communities free of the independent race's territories. The Demons blatantly disagreed, refusing the request. They believed that only they would become the super power of the world. Beastials looked over the document given to them, and decided to consider the request. They demanded a signing to be on neutral ground, which Humans and Elves gladly agreed to. But it was all a trap. Humans and Elves met at the intended spot with not a single Beastial to greet them. Without warning, they were attacked by Demons who had gained the ability of flight, shooting balls of dark energy at the peaceful people. Then, a horde of Beastials unleashed themselves upon the battle, striking down the Humans and Elves with iron weaponry and their animalistic abilities. Driving off the remaining forces, it had appeared that the Demons and Beastials had formed an alliance. The greeting of dark energy and steel swords was soon reported to both communities, forcing both to go in an uproar. War was demanded and it was sure given as the best alchemists and mages geared up and went to battle against their new foes. Battles occurred all over the whole world. But it was apparent that the Demons had the upper-hand as they pushed back the Human and Elf forces to their respective territories. On the brink of losing their most divine creations, Savirok and Kazalin began o think of a way to help their people, until they found the issue. During their investigation they secretly learned that Xerx had cast a curse upon the race of Beastials to be controlled by him as well as his own race. Along with Fer, the three Gods sent Xerx from the mantle of the Gods to Oblivion, where he would remain for eternity. The Gods used all their power to lift the curse, which soon sent them into eternal slumber. With the curse gone, the Beastials turned on their Demon masters. The strength and courage of the Beasts was soon recorded and was recognized as a threat, for the Demons were driven back with a long push into their own territory. With no other race having the ability to enter Ilsa, alchemists and mages put powerful seals on the land, forcing no one to ever leave, and any who entered was doomed to stay. The beats soon gave up their strength to the Humans and Elves, giving them an unconditional surrender. On the brink of extinction, Humans and Elves looked at the Beastials with a close eye with hardly any attempt to be sympathetic. Although welcomed to help build their community after such a long delay, they would be given limited rights in the free land. Soon the city known as Sovereign went under construction. Beastials were put to harsh physical tests during those years and no sign of Demons ever appeared, holding true that the seals had worked. Once completed, Sovereign became a bustling city and the birth of our beloved Council went under way. It was decreed that 3 Humans and 2 Elves would be appointed every 50 years. Many decrees over a course of a thousand years were made by this council. One of them barred any land devastated by the previous war would be considered dangerous and that everyone should travel there with caution, for they knew not what horrors still remained. Another rule made was that any alchemist or mage that could create fire was forbidden from its use due to its destructive nature. With the years continuing on though, a hidden darkness began to rise in the shadows. Peace and happiness was shattered with dark beings attacking caravans, raiding towns at night and even attacking families. These evil and mysterious creatures were rumored to be Xerx's last creation before his banishment, meant to unleash hell upon the world if his first plan did not succeed. Even with such ridiculous rumors, the council made a brave decision. IT ordered that each town and city have its own Adventurer Clan. Even corrupted men and women in power agreed to this decision, fearing their positions would be threatened if they ignored such an act. From that point on fighters from each territory, or countries as they began to be called, joined their respective clans and decided to bring the fight to the monsters. Humans, Elves and Beastials began to team up and fight back the darkness. Fighters powerful enough to take on the creatures themselves were called Elitists and they were given special missions, some taking them off the main land. However, the monsters grew stronger with every passing year, and it was assumed that the Clans would crumble under the weight of the pressure. But then came the First. The First led their allies and friends with a sword and a torch into the darkness to bring back the peace. The fight they put up was legendary, but that is a story that has yet to begin.

It was a dark night. Only a few lights lit up the small area. The moon shone brightly and the town of Cozack had many torches lit that evening. A Human male with blonde and short hair was wearing a fancy robe and sat on a log in the night. The vibrant blue and brown colors that decorated his robe were fascinating. Next to him sat an Elf woman with long blonde hair. She wore shining white robes that one would be able to see at least half a mile away. Next to both of them lay their staffs. They were identical with an eloquent design and look. The Elf sat there, rocking her arms back in forth, cradling a baby wrapped in a soft red cloth. The male brushed the back of the female's head. The baby that lay in her arms was that of a boy. He was elven and produced red eyes as he slowly began to fall asleep. His arms overlapped the upper half of his chest, as if he was hiding it. Suddenly, a tall dark figure began to appear behind them. It soon approached them and its true form was revealed. It was a tall Beastial man that had the looks of a bear. His human stature was the only difference you could make from a comparison between him and his possible ancestors. He wore a leather jacket and light blue pants. As he approached the two, they stood up and turned to face him.
"So this is actually happening?" The bear began to question.
"It is." The man replied softly.
"Zaf, Lira.... you guys don't have to-" The bear began to speak reason to them.
Lira interrupted him, "Kail, even if we didn't have to go, we couldn't keep him. That heart would have all of Gieel and Legaal hunting him. The worst assumption would be that of a spy. You're the only one we can trust with him."
Kail spoke up, "So you didn't lie in your letter. He really has the heart of a Demon.?"
"Please, keep him safe." Zaf could barely speak to his friend.
"I will." Kail said firmly.

Lira began to slowly hand the boy to Kail as tears fell from her eyes. Gently taking the child, Kail rocked the boy back and forth as Zaf comforted Lira.

"We must leave. They will be wondering where we have run off to." Zaf said calmly.
"Aye. Kail, don't expect us to come back anytime soon." Lira told the bear sharply.
"I'll take care of him. Don't worry about a thing!" Kail exclaimed as the two walked away with staffs in hand, disappearing into the forest.

Kail then starred at the child in his arms and moved the arms away from its chest. In the middle of its upper half lay a blackish purple star with a red pendant inside. He sighed as he began to walk back to town.

"Bal-Savi," He whispered, "I swear to you, that I will always be proud of the man you'll become."
